1. NANOACTIVISM

I posted this question on my personal blog and the responses were simply delightful. Among the many different strategies and actions, and there were many, a great number of people are consciously choosing to smile to strangers and walk through the day-to-day world with grace and integrity.

I came to the notion of NanoActivsm during my recent tour. As I spent the last six weeks out of suitcases, I had the thrill of observing people in different cities - in particular on public transit. Me: a traveler, a witness, a watcher.

In some cities the citizens lock themselves into iPod sensory cocoons and cold avoidance of meeting others' gaze. While in another city people smile to the buskers and conversations bubble up among strangers standing in long queues.

As I watched, it became apparent that some people changed the atmosphere around them, ever so slightly, as if their thoughts and intentions created some indelible molecular shift that touched others in imperceptible yet relevant ways.
Some for the better - some for the worse.

It's amazing what a serene smile can do for another's day.

Expanding on Midori's ever-popular class "The Art of Feminine Dominance," you'll be fully tutored through a series of personalized instruction, practice, discussions and demonstrations. Midori believes in a compassionate approach of education focusing on "Head-Heart-&-Hands", to go beyond merely focusing on the technique or formulaic scripts.

Find your authentic inner femme power! Through exploration of safe and effective techniques with emphasis on connections with your partner, fortified with individual attention and guidance, you'll learn the full scope of creating an amazing experience for you and your partner.

During this immersion retreat, you'll learn creative negotiation, scene setting, special equipment, play techniques including flogging, various bondage types and more. You will also explore emotional and psychological issues of loving SM in a healthy relationship.

If you have a partner, they are encouraged to join in the Lab segment on Sunday afternoon.

Prerequisite: Willingness for serious rope learning. Ability to tie your shoe-laces. No experience necessary. However, those with experience will be appropriately challenged.

Includes: 16+ hours of intensive training from 2 teachers and 2 trained TAs. Emphasizing balanced education focusing on "Heart-Mind-Hand" approach, covering rope skills, scene managements, psychology, history and more for both those who tie and those who are tied. Included: Morning nosh, lunches, afternoon snacks and cool swag.
